According to some interpretations, Aprile derives from the Etruscan “Apro” which in turn comes from the Greek Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
According to other theories, the name derives from the Latin “aperire” to indicate the month in which the flowers “open”.

07.04.22 SUBSONICA. MICROCHIP TEMPORALE TOUR. TUSCANY HALL
Subsonica, one of the most popular Italian groups of the last decades, is back in Florence. The name of the tour alludes to the group’s second album “Microchip Emozionale” which was released in 1999.

A pupil of Fattori, Oscar Ghiglia (1876-1945) from Livorno moved to Florence in 1900 making it his city of choice. With a look beyond the Alps, in particular at Cézanne’s paintings, Ghiglia crossed the Italian early twentieth century with the compositional and chromatic delicacy of his still lifes and his portraits. An artist to be rediscovered.

Horticulture and gardening, rarities, exhibitions, and educational workshops for two days dedicated to the world of plants.
Firenze Flower Show will be held in a beautiful garden on Via della Scala 115, a five-minute walk from our Florentine facilities.
23.04.22 – 01.05.22 86° MOSTRA INTERNAZIONALE DELL’ARTIGIANATO. FORTEZZA DA BASSO
Italian artistic craftsmanship and beyond, this fair has been held in Florence since 1931 and is a pole of international attraction. It houses over 800 artisans in an exhibition space of 55,000 square meters. Exhibitions, talks, and workshops complete the event, you can take a look at the rich calendar here.
25.04.22 – 20.05.22 GIARDINO DELL’IRIS. PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO
This delightful garden is open to the public only for the month of iris blooms, between April and May. The variety and quantity of iris present, the colours, and scents and the view over the city, make this place truly magical.
Absolutely not to be missed the adjacent Giardino delle Rose, where some impressive sculptures of Jean Michel Folon are housed.
27.04.22 SAMUELE BERSANI. CINEMA SAMUELE TOUR. TUSCANY HALL
“Cinema Samuele” is the ninth album by the singer-songwriter who won the Targa Tenco as the best album in 2021. An excellent opportunity to listen to it live after almost two years of hiatus.

Farm, hatchery, and restaurant meet among the greenhouses, flowers, and plants of this enchanting place. And it is precisely here that they will make you sit at the table. Everything is taken care of in the smallest detail, from the menu to the floral uniforms of the waitresses.
It is not very central, but it is worth it, especially in spring.
